Meet Your Guide
Working 40 hours a week for someone else just wasn’t going to work for me. I needed to manage my own time but struggled with the confidence (and a few other traits) needed to be a successful entrepreneur. I discovered that confidence can be built by trying, falling, learning, trying again, and repeating at a higher level. Now that I’ve leveled up once or twice, I’m sharing the lessons I learned along the way.
I started my accounting business by providing whatever anyone asked me to do. There were too many clients with too many problems needing too many tools. Eventually I realized that I can better serve my clients by limiting my services to the work I do best with a system that works for me. Now I help a dozen clients match their operations to a bookkeeping system that works for them. Whether my clients make $1000 per month or $1,000,000 per year, I give them the tools they need to see where that money is going.
As I sat at my desk crunching numbers and recording great ideas, I realized I wasn’t seeing the whole picture. I took an opportunity to join a creative dreamer with excellent people skills and start a business. As we shared ideas, she introduced me to real world customers while I provided guidance on planning and finance. Together we created a pop-up shop business selling customizable products that covered our rent and expenses in our first business season.
Coming up with brilliant ideas the day after business consult meetings became frustrating. Recognizing that thinking on my feet is not my strong point, I explored ways to make my solutions more useful. I learned coaching techniques and developed my writing skills. When I combined these new skills with my accounting and business experience, I was able to create printable guidebooks to help you on your own business journey.
I’ll meet you where your path begins. Happy Trails!
